The practical tips and instrument on how to actually do this with D-finders from Mani, and M4 reciprocating handpiece from Kerr or similar 10:1 reciprocating handpiece here.

"An interesting case. Old trauma, discoloration, internal resorption and apical radiographic obliteration. Patient will get cosmetic work to improve her smile, and action was chosen over surveillance in this context even though the tooth was asymptomatic with no PARL.
Following access, I quickly stumbled on a dentine wall. Fiddling about with C-pilot files I finally felt a catch, which funny enough turned out to be a lateral canal. It was shaped to a 20/.04.
I wondered whether I would leave it there but decided to scout further and eventually felt another catch that was, or used to be, the main canal.
I packed a 4mm piece of GP point in the straight part of the root and squirted the rest. Resin and glass fiber bundle core."
