the model is a good one, I just didnt know what specs and which files to use to fully appreciate it.
If you know how to use this, you can probably already do retreatments, bypass broken instruments and bypass ledges.
slightly lower in specs compared to the black model. but for an entry is very good.
Honestly couldn't thank Daniel Flynn enough. He's picked out very good items and gives us a good price compared to retail. happy to give me advice also.
With this website there is not much excuse to not be able to do gd endo that is profitable on the nhs.

in built apex locator leaves something to be desired but otherwise a good endo motor

I bought this model because I was looking for a cheap and fast way to do molar endo on the nhs at under an hour. So my experience with apex locators/endo motors is limited.

With that in mind, the competition for this model is a regular endo motor with no in built apex locator. Whose price point is around 500 GBP. Compared to the ai endo motor which is around 1200GBP after vat.

The goods:
multiple modes that will allow me to use any / mix and match file systems.
well built quality.
transportability with an inbuilt apex locator.
brings the fun back to nhs RCT.

The bads:
apex locator really leaves something to be desired. Perhaps because I am not experienced with apex locators, it seems to detect d0 earlier than is actually the case. I have done 2 cases in so far with this motor and the final wl definitely needs confirmation with PA.

So my final verdict.
If you are a travelling dentist and need the mobility and less stuff to be bringing around, then the in built apex locator will give you a rough idea where D0 is, but is by no means accurate. Everything else works well, with control over torque, speed, clockwise, counter clockwise, reciprocating angles. ergonomics is good also.

Else I would personally recommend a normal endo motor with a top of the line apex locator.

Excellent handpiece with good build quality and perfect ergonomics. Easy to use and lightweight. Battery lasts much longer. Highly recommended it to make endo more enjoyable and efficient. The inbuilt apex locator makes life so much more easier
