The objective isn’t to remove every fractured instrument.
It is to choose the right treatment for the tooth.
Restorability, periodontal status, endodontic prognosis, canal anatomy, fragment position, remaining dentine and the consequences of intervention all affect the decision.
Using real clinical cases, Daniel will examine when retrieval is appropriate—and when another strategy better serves the patient and the tooth.

Recognise when continued retrieval may become counterproductive and consider retention, surgery or intentional reimplantation.
